Candles. Sixteen candles in a circle, with a grizzly bear knocking them all over. Fire. A locked room, and the utterly unpleasant feeling of falling. Paris Eins jerked awake, looking around wildly. Some had broken, some seemed happy, but one sentence rang through their ears.“It doesn't have food. Well, until one of you dies.” The two-tone terror vanished once more, leaving behind a clamor of teenagers trying to figure out how to handle this final bit of information. The SHSL Heroine was dead, and time was standing still. Their voices were...dull, in the Librarian's ears. They made it to their feet shakily, looking to the Strategist nearby.“I'm...h-having trouble hearing.” they admitted, searching the boy's eyes for any sign of what to do next. “Perhaps that, ah, girl with the white hair. Maybe she can...help.” Paris flashed a final nervous smile at Ryuu, before limping away and toward Angie. “ Anzhelika, y-you...well...” They paused, their breath catching in their throat. Memories arose at the sight of the white-haired girl. Pirates. Men and women in masks, rope. A stifling smog. Shaking this away, they started again. “Anzhelika. You're the... Medical Practitioner, right?” Leaving out the 'Unlicensed' part made it a lot easier to say without fear. “I, um...n-need to speak with you. Since I...well. Perhaps w-we can talk about it if... you'd like to explore this s-ship with me.” Friends. Right. Make friends. Even if the best you can do is a scary Russian girl, she is a friend in the end. And besides... maybe having a friend who knows their way around a scalpel wasn't such a bad idea these days.That's right, the one thing the Librarian had picked up. It was time to explore, as Ryuu said.{ Kenji Takabe}

[/i][...] "And she doesn't count."This was...wrong, man this was really, really wrong. While some people screamed, some vomited and some remained eerily calm, the super high school level skateboarder of Hope’s Peak Academy was nothing but numb. It was like he had been dropped into a middle of a horror movie where you would have thought was the only way something like this could have happened. Any minute now the cops, o-or the government or somebody would come bursting in after this bear had just bazooka’d an innocent girl, and someone would end this tasteless charade and they’d yell “Gotcha!” and the sixteen students who had been shipbound would be whisked off to the Hope’s Peak campus and everything would be okay. Though he thought that, though he wanted to believe that more than anything he had wanted to believe in up until this point Somewhere beyond the fog that had enshrouded his mind ever since the bear had appeared and demanded the kids kill each other, the boy who had introduced himself as the actor had dropped to his knees and slamming his fists onto the wooden dead, wailing as if this were the end of the world. Which; who knows maybe this was. Whoever they had wronged in a past life, whatever he had done personally to wrong some god who felt he deserved to be dropped into a hellish kill or be killed scenario please believe him here when he said he was really and truly sorry, so please just let this nightmare end and let them all go home "Yo..This is...too much. If this is a joke, it ain't funny anymore."It had long since dawned on the skater that this was not a joke in the least, but again there was a small part of him that was eternally hopeful. While Ken stood there, still holding a skateboard to his side that had long since dropped to the ground and just generally feeling hopeless about the situation that the sixteen...fifteen innocent kids found themselves in, it was of all people the one who was able to bring him back to reality with just about the corniest line you'd ever here, you'd almost never believe someone actually spoke it to be taken seriously: "We are students of Hopes Peak Academy. We are the future of this world. I cannot speak for the others, but I would rather die then become a murder. You might be in control now, but soon we will find a way to flip this around.""Y..yeah. That's right!" He still didn't know the purple haired girl by name, but the things she said sounded good to him, so hey, he had that going for him. Narrowing his eyes at the door the bear seemed to be defending, the door that got the Heroine killed, Kenji carefully removed his black chain necklace from around his neck, instead wrapping and unwrapping it around his right fist as if he were about to punch something and wanted to have a little more oomph behind his actions. "I don't care what y'say dude, there ain't no way I'd kill someone just because some toy bear said to. I'd starve a hundred times over first!"Not that he wanted to die, mind you. He still had friends and family members waiting for him back home, at least one member of said family actually seemed to care about him even! He wouldn't wipe out here like some rookie who had never ridden a board before. While this was happening, apparently the boy who seemed to have self-asserted himself into a leadership role (and by which I meant he just kind of started directing orders at people) had given the signal to explore the ship and ordered them to meet back here at a later date to discuss what had been discovered. "Right. Leave it ta' me, bro." Smiling at the boy who had given the orders, Kenji pounding the fist he had wrapped the chain around into his other palm, almost like he was getting himself psyched for a fight. Which, lets be honest may not have been the best idea, judging on what had happened to the poor Heroine. "I may not be as smart as some of ya, but I'm hella strong, so if any of ya need help with anything that requires just brute strength, yell for me. I'll rip this whole ship apart of I have'ta."And with that, the skate-head wandered off, skateboard tucked under his arm and no real plan or goals for what he wanted to investigate, but just with hopes and dreams of being useful in some way that led them to taking over the ship...well, at least that was one of the reasons. Not a lie, but truth be told there was another reason the big skater wanted to check out the ship... "Wonder if there's anything I can use as a half-pipe around here, or somethin..."As with everything else, this had to go back to skateboarding [tagged: Elizabeth Steig] [/ul]

Fifteen of them were going to starve to death unless somebody died. How stupid. She couldn't speak for everybody but Elizabeth wouldn't kill over something as stupid as that. Others shouting about their hope, and about how they would never stain their hands with blood. How was she supposed to trust the words of strangers? There's no way she could, trust wasn't possible right now. She knew nobody, and nobody knew her. Elizabeth's eyes started to scan the deck, trying to get a good read on the others. You should never judge a book by it's cover but there was no choice, she didn't have anything else to go off of. Based off appearance there were only about seven of the students that weren't intimidating. Most were only intimidating just because they were male. Though there were some guys that didn't make her list. It would probably be for the best if she investigated by herself for now. With her guard never dropping, she went by herself to explore the vessel. made by wizz
