Okay, so like I had told people in skype, the Mastermind and the Traitor are different roles and will be treated differently in many ways.
So, this is what I was thinking:
Differences: Mastermind does NOT have their memories, but are roped into Monokuma's game at the very beginning, due to blackmail. Instead of extra information, the Mastermind will be in on the murders, therefore knowing what happens, and their job is to get a game over for everyone else. The Traitor can be good or bad, hope or despair, but the mastermind is working with Monokuma no matter what, and they have no choice. The Traitor can switch sides if they choose. Traitors apply for the position, whereas we pick the mastermind (though they don't have to accept it if they don't want to).
So, what do you think?

I like the idea. However, does that mean the Mastermind of each Mutual Killing Game must work with the murderer of each chapter before the trial? They don't have to necessarily interact with each other in-character, but rather have to have communication for the deaths to work? I mean, being a Mastermind, a character must have great influence over the trials, whether they like it or not - whilst the Game Traitors are practically loose cannons, doing as they please or trying to find the real culprit as an agent of Hope.
I think as staff, we could provide the link between the real Mastermind and the murderer. As previously mentioned, they don't have to know each other's identity, but I'm certain they will become interested with Game Traitors, whether they be Hope or Despair.
I hope this makes sense!

I think I know what you mean. And I agree. The Mastermind would indeed have a lot more control over the trial. Basically the Mastermind would get a message with the name of the murderer and would have to work to keep them from getting discovered, is what I'm thinking, instead of getting a little extra information as the traitor would.
