Silence.
How could anyone bare such an unsettling atmosphere, especially when the vast darkness of space is as dangerous as being stuck in a facility with a failing life support system? It just didn't make any sense from anyone to be here on Mars. The red planet was uninhabitable; devoid of any life. Or at least that's what Emile had originally thought. Alas, he was here along with several other students, all from the same prestigious academy; Hope's Peak Academy. How did it come to this?
The light-blonde stood at the doorway to his sleeping quarters with his Electro ID device within his right hand, staring at the room with great distaste. Emile's room contained very little - the bed was neat and proper, the floor had been waxed like a polished mirror and the desk within the corner had several small stacks of paper squared away. Nothing else was added into his personal space to make it really standout... or least not yet.
Emile slipped off his glasses with a simple pluck, wiping his brown eyes as he did. "A room devoid of personality. It looks an infirmary or a cell found within an mental institution." He muttered beneath his breath, placing his glasses back on. Little did he know, the young Ambassador wasn't completely alone.

After some time had passed, the dome center that they had all woken up in had been vacated of all life. All except him. He had originally made his way there, hoping to investigate the area, but after maybe an hour of not finding anything, he found himself simply staring out into the Martian landscape with bags under his eyes. It would have been perfect for a painting, had circumstances been different. Naoya found himself constantly pondering how they could have just passed out, and ended up here. The last thing he remembered was walking to the entrance of Hope's Peak Academy. In theory, a trip from Earth to Mars would take five months. This was either an impossible illusion, or an even more impossible reality, it seemed.
Finally, tiredly rubbing his eyes, he began to walk away, making his way towards the habitation area of this god forsaken station. The only sound he could even hear was the echo of his own footsteps. This place had the atmosphere of a horror story, which wasn't too far from the reality they were in. According to the bear, either he has to kill someone, and get away with it, or wait out the storm until just a few people were alive. There was no way that was true though, right?
They weren't going to find some secret third way out at this rate, however. Many people here seem to, understandably, not trust each other. And the idea of setting up a leader certainly didn't sit well with some of them. If they didn't find some sort of agreement, however, a death was inevita-
As he rounded the corner, Naoya spotted the door to someone's quarters shut, quietly. Strangely enough, just that was enough to snap him out of his thought trance. Beginning to walk past the door, towards his own, the boy perked his head to look at the door. 'Emile Montand.' He stopped in his tracks. The ambassador, was it? Out of the group from the dome center, he seemed to be one of the more reasonable people there, at least compared to students like Hibiki. Maybe this was what they needed.
Breathing in, he raised his arm to the door, giving it three light knocks. He stood there, his back straight, and his arms at his side.
[6/22/2016 10:37:07 PM] Seeris:
There was a bit of shuffling behind the door, a few unintelligible words that came from behind the barrier. After a minute, the door slid open, the white bedroom washed into the background with the young Ambassador standing at the entrance, his outfit just as neat and tidy as the day they have arrived on Mars.
"Oh, Mr. Akamura. It is a pleasant surprise to see you here." Emile chimed in a cordial tone, "I was not expecting any visitors at this time. Is there something I could do to help you?"
[6/22/2016 11:11:46 PM] Chi:
Upon seeing the blonde ambassador, the artist gave a small, respectful bow, before standing up straight once again. Nodding at Emile's greeting, Naoya crossed his arms, looking straight into Emile's eyes.
"Sorry, if this is a bad time, I can leave. But..." With a pause, the azure haired boy looked past his fellow captors shoulder, into the room. As he expected, it looked absolutely soulless and devoid of character. Not like he could have expected their kidnapper to give them any better. They were probably lucky to even have beds. "..Ah, I was hoping that we could become more acquainted. Obviously, with how hectic and crowded everything was back at the center, no one could become all that introduced."
[6/22/2016 11:53:05 PM] Seeris:
"Hmm. Yes, it would be a great step to develop some working relationships with each other, especially during such a turbulent time such as this." The young student nodded in agreement, pushing up his gold frames further up the bridge of his nose. "Please, enter. I would rather much have this conversation while we are seated instead of standing."
Emile shifted over to the side of the door, opening it a bit further so he could allow his guest to enter his room. Aside from the desk in the corner, there wasn't much within the room that could anyone's interest due to the lack of miscellaneous furniture and décor. Once the painter would enter the room, the ambassador simply motioned him over to the desk to sit. "Please, have a seat. Forgive me about the dreary state of this bedroom. There is very little to decorative the walls, although that doesn't seem very important right now due to more pressing matters."
[6/23/2016 12:27:55 AM] Chi:
With a subtle smile, Naoya nodded his own head to the boy. Thankfully, the two seemed to be on the same page on what was best in this situation. As Emile moved to make way for him to enter, the artist spoke. "Thank you. I'm grateful for the hospitality." From the tone of his voice to his own body language, there was certainly an air of dignity around Naoya. Some may call that air stuffy, but it seemed to fit with Emile's own attitude.
Walking into the room, he waved the ambassador's apologies aside, frowning as he looked around the room. "No, no. It's entirely fine. It's not like we really have the option to decorate and liven up our rooms." Or, so he assumed. As strange as it was, he hadn't even stepped foot in his own room yet, so he wouldn't know if there were all kinds of decorations hidden somewhere, ready to be used for customization. "I suppose.. we are prisoners, after all. I don't think that Monokuma, or whoever's behind it really considered the state of our rooms." With a sigh, he found himself muttering to himself. "And I doubt I'll have any access to art supplies. Which is a shame. I could probably make this place a bit more homely if I could."
Shaking his head, he sat in the desk chair, facing his host. "Sorry, I'm rambling."
[6/23/2016 4:46:31 AM] Seeris:
Emile slightly frowned at Naoya's words, even if he called it rambling. However, there was sadness to those words just as much as truth; they were victims of some mad design. Even most of their talents were made meaningless to them in this situation. The ambassador thought about that for the past few hours. How could his title of an Ambassador could help all of them from making a costly mistake? Monokuma surely didn't help them with the stated rules and even the state of the life support system practically ate at everyone's mind. You couldn't easily dismiss that.
"It is fine. We might be prisoners to this facility, but that doesn't mean hope is completely lost to us." The light-blonde student calmly spoke, his chest feeling a little tight at that moment, "This might be an opportunity to test our resolve, to come together to defeat a common enemy. It might not be a popular opinion with everyone, especially to those who prefer solitude. However, it only takes a few people to truly make a difference." Emile stood in front of the artist, crossing his arms over his chest. "Like a wise man once said, 'A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.' This is our opportunity." His thoughts went back to the dome, wherein he witnessed the video feed presented to them by their captor.
"The deaths of those students will not be in vain."
[6/23/2016 7:29:32 PM] Chi:
"..." His eyes drifted to the ceiling in thought. Hope is not completely lost to us. There is opportunity in every difficulty. Naoya found himself agreeing with every word that came from the ambassador's mouth, though doubts still crept in his mind. Even if they could form some sort of agreement within the group, it just takes one person to tip over the edge and kill one of their classmates. That single action could bring ruin to any alliance they may form. It may even get them all killed. Even with those doubts, however... "It only takes a few people.." He repeated Emile's words. That was also true. Very, very true. Dwelling on what one person might try to do was only going to bring more despair.
"You're very wise, Emile. It's no wonder that you were scouted as the Ultimate Ambassador." A smile formed on his face as he laced his hands together. "Even if I can be a pessimist at times, you're already giving me plenty of hope. That we can triumph over this situation." He looked past the lenses of his classmate's glasses. "I.. understand why some people here may not want to get involved with the rest of us. Trusting people, especially in a situation where our fears are being used against us, can be difficult to say the least. But.. well, maybe if a few of us can truly reach an agreement, we can work together, and find some chink in this Mastermind's armor."
Both of them could surely work together, in an effort to uncover this places secrets and defeat whoever is behind it. His eyes narrowed slightly as he thought back to when they discussed a leader in the center. Who else? Kairu and Zelda, certainly. Even if they're strange. Jun may be reasonable too, as a detective.

The young ambassador carefully watched as Naoya spoke his thought on his subtle speech, relieved that the artist had agreed to much of what he said. However, the moment azure-haired boy stared directly into him, Emile couldn't help, but to look away. "That would be the most viable option than any other. We cannot live in captivity like this. We will find greater success with other like-minded people."
[6/26/2016 7:44:16 PM] Chi:
His eyes thoughtfully gazed at the ceiling as he pondered their next move. "Perhaps next time everyone is together, we should try bringing this up again, together. See who's willing to stand by our side." A smile, though subtle, spread on his face. Maybe they had a real chance here. They just needed a few people to truly make a difference. Crossing one leg over the other, he brushed some of his hair behind his ear, hoping that he didn't look like a mess.
"Anyway, Emile. Tell me a bit about yourself.." With a pause, he looked down for a moment. "If you want to, of course. If you'd prefer to keep that stuff to yourself, I completely understand."
[6/29/2016 5:29:38 PM] Seeris:
The ambassador simply blinked at the Naoya, generally surprised by an interest of his standing character. Emile, nonetheless, wasn't a person who shied away from a simple conversation such as this and just simply smiled at the artist for being good company thus far.
"Ahm." the blonde student cleared his throat before he spoke, "Not many people would ask of me and would instead speak on matters regarding Novoselic. Where shall I begin?" Emile broke eye contact for a moment, feeling somewhat inadequate about such a casual topic.
[7/1/2016 3:26:57 AM] Chi:
Out of reflex, he raised an eyebrow ever so slightly. The artist hadn't expected to catch Emile so off guard with what was a pretty average and down to earth conversation topic. However, he thought he understood the reaction. Considering the student's talent, and his formal attitude, he likely didn't talk with people on a personal level all that much, at least in Japan.
"Well, Mr. Montand.. again, if it's an unwanted subject, you don't need to answer. But.." Naoya paused, cupping his chin in thought. Though he was fairly curious about Emile, it was hard to just think up a subject for him to go off of. "Well, where ever you like. What brought you hear. What's life like in Novoselic. Anything."
[7/1/2016 7:10:04 AM] Seeris:
"What brought me here..." The young ambassador mused on, his voice becoming quite soft, "I was accompanying Princess Nevermind to Hope's Peak Academy, to strengthen our relations not only with the nation of Japan, but with the prestigious academy as well. Once the royal family had heard our beloved princess was accepted into the academy, it was only a matter of time I was to follow Princess Nevermind as her advisor once I was accepted. Before our acceptance into Hope's Peak Academy, we spent some time together in Japan, due to Sonia's... Erhm. I mean, Princess Nevermind's interest with the Japanese culture. My apologies."
Emile's light cheeks turned into a slight tinge of red, the embarrassment had followed shortly after he caught himself at fault; by addressing a member of the royal family and princess by the first name. "The last memory I could recall was walking up to the entrance of Hope's Peak Academy with Princess Nevermind..."
Despite his efforts, the light-blonde's voice held a hint of sadness to his unusually soft voice before he glanced to Naoya with a feigned smile. "I am terribly sorry for my response. I normally address conversations unrelated to myself."
[7/6/2016 9:55:45 PM] Chi:
Naoya dismissed his host's apologies with a small wave, giving off a friendly smile. "No, it's quite alright, Mr. Montand. Don't think anything of it, please." He imagined, in their country, it wasn't exactly common to call royalty by their first name. Perhaps he was just a friend of the Princess, instead of just being an ambassador. That took him a bit by surprise, but he had to imagine that the princess was kind, going off of that. "In fact, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you uneasy."
Sitting back, he cupped his chin in thought. Wait.. He replayed Emile's words in his head. Something he said seemed rather strange to the artist. In fact, the more he thought about it, the creepier it was to him.
"Actually.. that sounds familiar." Looking back up to the ambassador, Naoya sat forward, his fingers drumming on his thighs. "The last thing I remember before waking up here was.. approaching the front doors of Hope's Peak Academy for the first time, as well. That's.. rather odd."
[7/18/2016 5:29:06 PM] Lambo:
Blinking several times, the ambassador carefully listened to the artist's words, both students seemingly deep in thought. Emile ruminated on the thought, pushing up his golden frames due the ill adjustments made to his spectacles when he was unconscious. "I would naturally dismiss it as a coincidence, but with the situation we have found ourselves in, I fear this was planned from the very beginning." The blonde-haired student spoke his thoughts aloud before he glanced back to Naoya.
"Do you think whoever is responsible for this tasteless game is on this planet with us?"
[7/18/2016 8:10:38 PM] Chi:
A breath escaped him through his nose. Well, now the two would-be classmates were back on the topic of this killing game. Though the artist would love to get his mind of these dastardly circumstances, that wouldn't be wise with this sudden possibility hanging over their heads like a knife. His eyes narrowed as he started to truly consider what kind of person was behind all of this.
"...Yes. I'm pretty sure.. If they were back on earth, that remote controlled bear wouldn't act so life like, would it? Unless it was run by some sort of artificial intelligence, but.. I doubt it." Then again, with a school like Hope's Peak Academy, it wouldn't really be out of the question that Monokuma could be run by some sort of AI. "Perhaps they are in the restricted building? It'd explain the security there."
[7/24/2016 7:12:59 PM] Lambo:
"Hm." A lowly hum came from Emile as he slightly pulled away his sleeve and began to check his watch. It was at that moment he frowned at the sight; bare flesh and nothing else. The young ambassador glanced up to Naoya and sighed, pulling at the cuff of his sleeve back into place. "We must trend carefully if we are to apprehend this capture and put an end to this absurd game. We should reconvene once more in a few days before the air quality becomes dire." Emile simply waltzed over to his bedroom door, waiting for his guest to follow. "I believe it is time to retire to our beds. There is little we could do right now."
[7/26/2016 12:50:56 AM] Chi:
Naoya noticed his host going to check the time, only to be disappointed. To be fair, the watch probably wouldn't be very accurate to the time of.. wherever they were on Mars. Nodding in agreement to the blond, he followed him to the door, feeling his eyes grow a bit heavy. After such a long day, sleep was a requirement. "Sounds like a plan to me... Thank you for having me, Mr. Montand." The artist gave a small bow before walking out the door, making his way down the hall towards his own room.
