So you’re wondering how to investigate, and this is how you figure out what to do. First of all, everyone must have at least one investigation partner. You can have as many as you want, but each group can only investigate three rooms total. In each room, you will post your character’s going there, and then you will receive a description of the room. There will be bolded bits of certain things you should look at that will yield evidence. However, rechecking a room anther group has already look in could yield good results, as some people will have TALENT EXCLUSIVES. Meaning evidence that only certain people with certain talents would receive. This may make the case easier or may confuse the hell out of you. So, for example, let’s say Character A and B were investigating Yuukyoku’s room. This is how it would go:
Character A walks into the room. Blah blah blah.
Character B walks into the room. Blah blah blah.
Yuukyoku’s room is somewhat messy. There are a few game systems on her bed you might want to take a look at, though those weird drawings could be interesting too.
Character A looks at the game systems on her bed.
Character A in PM receives:
Game Systems - “Look at that, there are several handheld gaming systems on her bed, but all of them seem to be out of battery… how cruel of a tease.”
TALENT EXCLUSIVE: “The games are really old it seems but the system is in great shape. They must be worth a fortune!”
Character B looks at the drawings and the games systems on her bed.
Character B in PM receives:
Game Systems - “Look at that, there are several handheld gaming systems on her bed, but all of them seem to be out of battery… how cruel of a tease.”
Videogame Maps - “It looks like Yuukyoku has been mapping out a world for one of her games. Wow this looks incredibly detailed, she must have put a lot of work into this!”
Character A and B talk and leave. Perhaps they share their evidence in secret with a ‘Character A shared what he found with Character B’ then PM’ing the evidence over to them.
Oh, right those talent exclusives that were mentioned before… well there’s two talents that get special abilities instead of extra evidence since their talents won’t help that much with seeing or recognizing something or another. Here are the abilities.
Procrastinator: Gets all exclusives in the last room he checks.
Hero: Can pick one room to get all talent exclusive evidence from.
To activate the hero’s ability, all Jack has to do is at the bottom of the room he wants the exclusives from have a part that says: ‘Hero power activate!’ or something like that. It can only be used once though! Be careful not to waste these powers!
Everyone else has the possibility of getting extra information. You will be told about this extra information and that may make sharing evidence even more important. Just don’t actually mention what the evidence is in RP, if you want them to say something about it, do it through PM and just say ‘then Character A said something to Character B about his evidence’ and in PM have a “Yo, B, did you see these games, they’re legit, but their batteries are burnt out. That’s too bad, I wanted to play it!”
You can investigate the following areas:
Zephyr’s Room, Kairu’s Room, Lindsay’s Room, Apollo’s Room, Raiden’s Room, The Cafeteria, The Space Hangar
You can investigate a total of 3 of these areas with your partner. Please post below with who your partner is and what areas you are going to investigate. You must post here before you start investigating.
Anyways, good luck finding your evidence and figuring out the case! Have fun and enjoy your stay on Mars! Upupupupupu.
