[googlefont="Boogaloo"][googlefont="Great Vibes"] PERFECTION IS THE CHILD OF TIME and i will be that child | His meetings were going well so far. Daniel. Lindsay. He was sure he would turn everyone to his side eventually. He just had to do it while also finding time to try to escape here. He had only two weeks to beat this bear at his game and save himself and everyone and show the world his perfection and then people would care about him, then he would have the power greater than that of a king or emperor, he'd wield the power of a god. He just needed his followers. He also needed his angels. And for that he would have to groom enough people. Where better to make them than here on Mars, among the stars, where they could descend from the heavens and --
Alright, even he knew that was getting a little carried away even if that was the ultimate goal he was striving to achieve. To be the most perfect person of all and ascend to the level of god. The end result, the thing he was working for most of all. But he wasn't even close to that level yet. Not even close. And he was at his limit here. He'd gotten Lindsay and Daniel. But there were so many people. Twelve. Twelve others. And a way out. A way to stop this bear. He hadn't found anything yet and he had wasted some time practicing. Then again, it was to help clear his head and he ran into Daniel during that time. He managed to manipulate the procrastinator to inching towards the path of perfection by appealing to the guy's emotions, even if he had told the truth and having not actually told the guy a lie during that moment.
For now, Raiden decided he would explore the dome a bit more, and ended up walking towards the building they weren't allowed to go in. Some sort of giant robot was guarding it. It was probably where the whole base of operations was, where the bear controlled the dome. Somehow they would have to get past the robot if they wanted to get out of here. And he was determined to figure it out. He stared at the robot, studying it, looking for flaws or weaknesses, studying it as hard as he could, his eyes moving around quickly as he did. He made notes and notes and notes in his head about the robot, things that could prove useful in the future. Then again, if he died, no one would know. Tch. Well it wouldn't matter that happened, as he was hoping to save himself along with everyone else, himself being obviously the most important, though he would be a failure if he lost anyone. No, he had to focus on this robot and try to get through. He was sure this building was the key, he just needed to unlock it.

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away Zelda’s mind was hazy as thoughts drifted here to there and back again. Her eyes peered nowhere in particular, and her feet followed suit. That is, until she bumped into a solid, tall pillar.
“Waaaa--! …Oh…hey dude.” The Medium pushed her bangs to the side as she looked up into Raiden’s eyes.
Raiden Yagami. Not Alexander Root. And certainly not the Ultimate Luck. But that was no big deal. Zelda had been called a phony and a liar enough times to have garnered some sympathy for that group, Raiden included. It must’ve been awful to have those titles given to people who didn’t deserve it.
And of course, Raiden was anything but bad. Despite his rudeness, he was a shining beacon of hope! Just like her. And together, their lights would signal into space until someone found them. At least, that’s what her gut feeling was telling her. The crippling darkness of despair had ebbed away from her over time, and she had even been able to make some friends! Raiden was Goal #3. Maybe they could rebuild whatever bridge had been burned by his fiery glares on their first meeting. Even if she…didn’t particularly care for his intensity.
But just as she looked at him and opened her mouth, her stomach rumbled loudly and aggressively. A perfectly elegant second impression she had just made, as she approached some dude who seemed like he had a boner for being a dick. Good going, Zelda.

[googlefont="Boogaloo"][googlefont="Great Vibes"] PERFECTION IS THE CHILD OF TIME and i will be that child | Raiden was deep in thought when someone had the gall to bump into him. He jumped instantly, ready to defend himself if his attacker made any sudden movements. After all, he was the Ultimate Basketball Player which meant his reaction time was fantastic, and his observational skills fairly good when it came to the actions of others. He could literally copy someone's movements as they did them, as he did many times in a game before. After all, he was good enough to place second in an international tournament when the rest of his team really did nothing… literally nothing. They stood on the sides of the court and just let Raiden handle it all. It wasn't due to hope that got him through. It was due to hard work and practice and the drive to succeed. He didn't hope that he would win. He knew he would win.
However, this situation, this game they were playing. He didn't know if he would win it. He didn't know if he was good enough to even just save himself. He didn't know what the hell was going on, but he still fought… but he supposed that his fighting here was fueled by hope. Hope that one day he could be perfect, though he actually knew that one day he would. It was more like hope he wouldn't let these fellow trapped students down. Because he wanted to one day be in the status of a 'god-like' person, and perhaps even become a god himself, he had to have followers, and with that, when he obtained that status, he would have the power to not lose anyone ever again, he would have the power to stop people when they were doing something that would hurt themselves and others in the end. He could stop people from betraying him, he could stop himself from being hurt again.
"The cafeteria is that way," Raiden said pointing towards the cafeteria, "I wouldn't recommend wandering around aimlessly without watching where you are going. Anyone could kill you and you wouldn't even see it coming." Raiden crossed his arms again and looked at the robot. "Zelda, seer of stars, the medium. Do you truly have the powers people say you do? To talk to the dead, see what's coming?" He could at least put her to the test, see what she could do, and how he could use her to get them all out of here. How he could use her as an ally.

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away ”Anyone could kill you and you wouldn’t even see it coming.”
Not likely. Zelda’s abilities may not have been well-formed, but she at least could sense impending doom. And in the face of Raiden Yagami, there was no doom. But he wasn’t as…transparent as many of the others. He was complex, like some tie-dye onion. Her gaze followed his as he turned, falling upon a tall, imposing robot. It seemed Monokuma had lots of tricks up his sleeves, but not enough to stop them. Not that Zelda was too concerned right now. Somehow, they would be found. She couldn’t feel it because she knew it.
"Zelda, seer of stars, the medium. Do you truly have the powers people say you do? To talk to the dead, see what's coming?"
Her ears twitched at the sudden interrogation. The Seer of Stars title, huh? Talk of powers and speaking with the dead? Foresight? He was looking for an interview. Raiden wanted to know what she had to offer him. Well, all she could do was throw on her interview face and get to answering.
“Yes, thanks for using my God-given title! Seer of Stars is just so groovy, isn’t it? I’ve loved it ever since that talkshow host…uh, what was her name…well, ever since she made it up! My powers are vast and enormous, but, uh…unfounded. They aren’t perfect yet. But you came to Hope’s Peak for the same reason, right? Perfecting yourself. I can’t talk to the dead. I can’t tell you exactly what’s coming. But I have…um, senses, dude. Like, a gnarly feeling in my gut when something bad is gonna happen. You’re from Japan, so I don’t know if you know…but um, I predicted an American tragedy when I was little.”
Her gaze faltered a bit.
“A terrorist attack, but let’s…not talk about that much.”
Now seemed like the perfect time for a new topic.
“Hey, I do have some minor powers, though! They usually depend on the moon phase, but…y’know. We’re on Mars. Want me to read your tarot cards?”
And effortlessly, a deck slid into Zelda’s palm from seemingly nowhere.

[googlefont="Boogaloo"][googlefont="Great Vibes"] PERFECTION IS THE CHILD OF TIME and i will be that child | Raiden was always a firm believer in supernatural forces; though he believed that some were imbued with a sensitivity to them, he also believed one could train themselves to be in tune with said supernatural things. He hadn't considered what the effect of the moon being so far away would have on one's powers, as the might of the moon god, Tsukuyomi, may not shine as brightly upon those who have been granted power by the god. Luck was another of those things he really, truly believed in. Luck was also one of those things he couldn't control, at least not yet, not until he became perfect at least and ascended to the height of the gods themselves. Only then could he have full control of his life and everything around him.
"So you have good intuition. Perhaps one day you will be able to see flashes of the future, if you hone your skills well enough," Raiden suggested. It would be an interesting thing to witness. He hadn't had much luck with getting in tune with the supernatural occurrences of nature. When I yhe was little there were times he woke up feeling like he was in someone's arms, but there was no one there. He believed it was a ghost watching over him. There were other times he could've sworn he saw someone who shouldn't be able to be there. A ghost, Raiden had concluded, which was very possible in his mind.
"Alright then, tell me what the cards say," Raiden agreed. He was curious as to what his fortune would hold. Perhaps there would be something he could do to help prevent bad luck from stalking him. Perhaps there was something he needed to prepare himself for in the future. Perhaps she would tell him something he didn't want anyone else to find out because the instant they did… well they would all turn on him then. He doubted she could be that specific, so it wasn't too much of a gamble to just allow her to read his fortune with these cards she had.
He didn't know much about tarot, though Raiden wasn't versed in fortune telling in general, but in all cases he'd been in, astrology and fortune telling had usually had some sort of merit, especially if someone had a reputation for being good at it. He could usually tell the phonies from the truly gifted ones, or those who worked hard to be one of the few special people who could gaze into the future. He would eventually have these same powers, he knew, because it was all in his journey to perfection which he would never give up, even after he died, he would keep fighting even if he were just a spirit or whatever else.
