Yuukyoku looked around as everyone began to introduce themselves. They all seemed to be in the same situation as her: Suddenly stuck here on what looked like Mars with no idea as how they go there. They all seemed to be students from Hope's Peak which was a relief. At least she could try to learn more about their talents... That is if the resources were here for her to actually work on a game that is.
"Oh, I guess it's my turn then? It looks like everyone else has introduced themselves... I'm Yuukyoku Souzousha, the Super High School Level Game Designer. So, why do you think we're-" She was cut off by...

A clanking could be heard off in the distance, growing louder each time it happened. Like footsteps. Left. Right. Left. Right. Finally the source of the sound appeared. A small bear, half-white and half-black, wearing a black cape with a skull shirt. It had an eyepatch over it's right eye, and the left one glowed an eerie red. “Upupupupupup...” it laughed as it looked over the awakened students. “Looks like you're all awake now. I'm Space Captain Monokuma, and I'm in charge of this place.”
He came to a stop as he let that sink in. “I bet you're all wondering why you're here. That's simple. You're here for a game. What kind of game? Well...” The door to the plane hanger begins to open up slowly. “You see that space plane over there? It's the only way off of here. If you want to go back home, that's you're only way outta this place. But you can't ride it yet. First you need to murder someone and get away with it! Upupupupupupupupupu.”
“Now, you best get to it quick. I give you guys... Two Weeks before this place runs out of air and all suffocate. The moment someone is killed is when I'll turn on the Life Support System again. You see. Mars is the God of War. On this world it's Kill or Be Killed, or else everyone dies. The only winning move is to play the game.”

Okay, Daniel noticed that everybody had introduced themselves. Not all of them were willing to share their talent, but it wasn't like he was super curious about it. Then suddenly, a black-and-white bear calling itself Monokuma appeared and told everyone how things were gonna go from now on.
"Wait.", Daniel said. "We have to kill someone?" He then looked at everyone else before his eyes went back to the bear. "And what do you mean with 'getting away with it'?"
The Procrastinator could probably figure that failing to get away with a crime as severe as murder would carry a hefty punishment with it. It wasn't like he intended to hurt or kill someone anyway. If the bear was being serious about it, then the brown-haired boy had a major problem.
He removed himself from the wall where he rested and stood upright, hands in his pockets.

Everybody had finished their introductions and not soon after the last person finished did a black and white bear appear. He seemed to be like a stuffed animal you could find in stores. The bear seemed to say some surprising things like how you need to kill one another and get away with it to escape. He also said that if we don't kill one another we will suffocate
"how could this bear even say this killing one another is a game?" jack thought. he then faced the bear with a serious look on his face
"monokuma is it? Are you the one that put us all here? If so then how did you knock everyone out and bring us into space and on mars of all places? Why would you call killing one another a game and do you really believe that everyone is going to just kill one another?
Jack had so many questions he was asking Monokuma he hoped that maybe a person could not be this evil as to kidnap a bunch of people and force them to kill one another especially one that looks like a stuffed bear. He had to hope that this bear was joking and he was not serious about suffocating if you don't kill anyone. But if all this is true and there is someone this evil then jack knew that he had to stop this bear before anyone would kill another and he would have to force this bear to turn on the life support to save everyone.

[googlefont="Boogaloo"][googlefont="Great Vibes"] PERFECTION IS THE CHILD OF TIME and i will be that child | A game. A killing game. Kill someone and leave. Easy. The hard part would be getting away with it. However, Raiden knew if he just stayed quiet the answers he needed would be provided while the others asked the questions. And if not, he'd seek the bear out, who by the way was a bit ridiculous of a look for a leader, and ask in private. However, a perfect person didn't just leave everyone behind. A perfect person would save everyone here. To do that he would have to beat this bear. However, everyone here had to be convinced to not kill someone. They had to have hope that they would find a way out of here. And he needed that to be instilled in everyone.
"It doesn't matter, Daniel." Raiden looked from Zelda to the bear, his eyes growing cold. "We have two weeks to figure out a way ourselves. No one need bow to this bear's demands." Only the imperfect would kill. But he had to make them all perfect, he had to ensure their survival, he had to make sure that the perfection lurking inside of everyone was released. Now he had to make sure to return to Earth, for Mars was dangerous if they weren't in control. Even if Earth had nothing left for him, there was less threat of losing air.
Raiden changed his look so he looked towards Jack. "Will that knowledge change anything? You're a hero. Save us then. Get off your ass and do what you're supposed to do." This was the most Raiden had ever spoken in a while. Then again, he had never been in such a stressful situation, the perfect things to say were just coming off his lips so easily… Perhaps stress and time were the keys to perfection, to force himself to need to do something, to want it so badly due to outside stimuli. Interesting.
"Everyone here has potential to save themselves, but you have to work at it, instead of taking the easy way out." Raiden quickly looked away. He knew he was a potential target for this because of his move to make them suspicious. Out of everything they were here for, he didn't think about a mutual killing game, but he really should have. He was internally cursing himself for it. He was such an idiot. So imperfect. He had to continue to work on it. He had to become perfect, inch closer to that threshold, but for that he needed time. With the imperfect people here, well they might try to end his life prematurely before he could become perfect. "If you take the easy way out, you will never get away with it. Even with the perfect crime, you will always fail." Well, unless he did it, but he didn't plan on taking the easy way out. There would be another way. There… had to be. This couldn't be the only way to escape this place, the only way to save these imperfect souls.
To kill would put a black mark on his perfect soul.
"Now if we're quite finished here, I think my time would better be spent looking for a way out." Raiden scoffed pushing his glasses up again, and pushing himself from where he was leaning. "So tell me, Captain, are we dismissed? Or do you have some other useless rules for us?" He stopped in front of the bear and crouched down so he was level with the bear a forced grin on his face.

One by one the students begun to introduce themselves, keeping quiet Kairu intently listened to everyone jotting down everyone’s names and skills within his notepad, the cast of characters before him were certainly interesting, the SHSL Procrastinator, Hero, Reporter, ‘Luck’ and Emperor really intrigued the Young Archaeologist, one of them so very interesting it planted a curious smirk across his pale sweet face.
As the SHSL Game Designer begun to hypothetically inquire about their situation, everyone found their attention drawn to a strange Tanooki/Bear, where it came from and what it was only ceased to baffle the young Archeologist, the bear itself reminded him of one of those cheap plush toys he would buy for his baby sister.
As the bear spoke, it reminded Kairu of a child, but at the same time the unique tone in its voice sent a startling shiver down his spine, it didn't help as he begun to go on about death and murders. This all felt like a joke at first or atleast that is what Kairu wanted to believe, however deep down everything the bear was saying felt genuine, to Kairu it was like a piece of dung that was mistaken for a fossil, despite knowing it was dung you just wanted it to believe it was a rare fossil because you worked so hard digging it up.
Sweat poured down Kairu's face, someone would have to kill another within two weeks or everyone dies by suffocation.
“ARE YOU SERIOUS!?” Kairu snaps gripping his hair tightly with one hand and his open note pad shoved into it with the other. “You want us to crush each other’s dreams and commit murder for some game? FOR ALL THAT IS GERTRUDE BELL ARE YOU MAD!?”
Since arriving here, Kairu had been raising his voice a lot, he could feel his heart pulsating within his chest, its beats ringing within his ears and now faster than ever now having heard this strange and sadistic announcement. He knew he needed to calm down, slowly he took a deep breath now pressing his open notepad against his chest. Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, feeling slightly calmer he looks towards the bear known as Monokuma.
The Shsl Hero and Shsl 'luck' were quick to say their pieces and raise valid points, how was this all possible? Also two weeks seemed like plenty of time to escape, in the past Kairu has had to find and explore hidden ruins, how hard could an escape route on Mars be? Taking one final breath Kairu walks beside 'Alex Root' who was currently having some kind of stare down with Monokuma. "I'm with Alex, we'll find a way to escape! I'll find that escape route with every other secret waiting to be discovered in this place!....easy"

“Upupupupupu...” The bear laughed as their reactions started coming in. Surprise. Confusion. Vain attempts to cling to hope. “Sure, waste your time trying to find a way out of here. You're got two weeks. While you run around trying to find a way off of this red planet, someone may just kill you while you're distracted... Or everyone will suffocate, but can you truly trust people you've never met to not look out for themselves. I mean... If someone is going to die if you don't kill them, then what's the harm of saving yourself? Either way, someone gets killed or you all die. It's pretty simple.”
He looked over to the Procrastinator. “To answer your question, I mean get away with it. After someone is killed there will be an Investigation and Trial. If you get found out, then you'll have to face Punishment of Death yourself and the whole cycle will go again until either someone gets away with Murder or... there are only 5 people left. For more than one of you to leave here alive, at least 10 of you have to die. Upupupupupu.”
Turning towards the Hero he said, “As for how I got you here? Well with a space ship of course! Don't go looking for it. It's nowhere you can reach. As for... if I think you'll kill one another? It's happened before...” Monokuma snapped his... paw and a hologram video appeared behind him, projecting from... somewhere?
On the video were people around the same age as him. Some of them would recognize them, but it was obvious. They were other students from Hope's Peak.
And they were killing each other.
“Upupupupupu. Do you think this is the first round of killing? Far from it. It won't be the last. It's Kill or Be Killed. I know you have it in you, somewhere deep down. The fear of dying. Just let that overtake you. Fall in to despair. There's Zero Escape from here. The biggest Dilemma you have is that it's only a matter of Time.”

I'd rather trust and regret than doubt and regret "I'm with Alex, we'll find a way to escape! I'll find that escape route with every other secret waiting to be discovered in this place!....easy"
"Cute, They think they can find a way out from this god forsaken piece of space rock" Sure, the bears appearance made things.. interesting, and gave a purpose to this whole situation.
"Kill if you want to escape? Tch, what kind of cliche video game does this bear think this? Anyway, if it comes to it I'l have to be careful. So far it seems my plan is working so I'll have to keep it up a while longer."
Several of the students had thrown refutes and questions at the bear, who seemed to enjoy the chaos a bit too much.
"A two week time limit, not the most generous of things. I suspect we won't even reach week 2 but maybe they'll surprise me" Sure, the detective grew uneasier every second that bear had its mouth open, but to show weakness would mean you'd become an easy target.
The bear rattled on about trials and investigations. Words that sounded like music to the detective's ears. And he couldn't help but show the tiniest of smiles.
Then, something more unexpected happened, the bear showed footage of other students in a same sort of predicament they were in. Stabbing, hanging, weights. Whatever could be used as a weapon was wielded. Jun watched the video with his eyes wide open. The sight of murder wasn't anything new to the detective. In fact, he had gotten used to it. So much that he didn't even flinch "This could create a potential risk, if someone here gets corrupted by these videos we could be in deep trouble. For now though.." He cleared his throat and stuck his hands in his pockets.
"I agree with Root." He emphasized the name, still not completely convinced by the ultimate luck. "I'd prefer it if we would be released now. Some of us..." He turned his sight to Kairu "Obviously need to... process today's proceedings" He looked around the room. "I take it you've prepared some form of dormitory for us?" Pointing to several doors "Which one is it?"

A killing game? That was pretty intense. A great story if she ever heard one. Especially since they were all in space. Lindsay was terrified of course. Who wouldn't be? Even so, this was a pretty exciting situation. If-no when she got out of here, she would get the scoop on the biggest story of the century. Raiden and Jack and Kairu said some pretty cool lines too.
Then she saw the video. Apparently they weren't alone in being Hope's peak students forced to kill. Lindsay saw more familer faces. These poor kids were just like them and now they were all...dead. I mean one kid was absolutely tortured! With knife wounds everywhere and a spear sticking out of his chest! She had seen a lot of terrible things but...that boys body would haunt her dreams.
Still it wasn't all bad. There were lots of hot people around. Which was sorta bad because they would be a massive temptation and she couldn't just ruin her reputation. Then again maybe there was a way to keep her reputation and have fun? Regardless they wouldn't all die right off the bat. Someone was bound to kill. People were weak in that way. That was one of the lessons Lindsay learned as a reporter.
More importantly it was frustrating being here. All sorts of great stories were going on and she couldn't report on any of it! The voice told her to be calm though and think about it rationally. A memoir about her experiences as a survivor of the killing game in space would be an all time best seller. Besides, Lindsay was smart, she could help people here. She wasn't about to sacrifice her life for them but...she couldn't just let people die if she could help it either.
"An investigation of this station would probably be a good idea." Lindsay said in a bit more of a thoughtful, professional tone. "I wonder if the dormitories are co-ed or gender segregated."
Fantasies either way floated through her mind. Of a pretty boy, maybe Raiden or Daniel or Naoya sneaking into her dorm for a passionate lovemaking session. Or perhaps one of the girls, like green hair or the medium or the game designer, would like to experiment and feel the soft embrace of another woman. Oh the thought of it almost made her nose bleed and her mouth water! But she couldn't lose it here. She was a member of the Hiiragi family and the Ultimate Reporter! Not some perverted teenage boy who spent his time tricking people on the internet! Her perverted tendencies had to remain a secret. No one could know how dirty she was.
"He he. Not that it matters!" Lindsay said, bouncing back with her cute voice. Damn she was smooth.

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away Everything had been going so well.
And then the bear had arrived.
Zelda had laughed loudly as the bear appeared in its ridiculous getup, eyepatch and all. What was he, a Pirate Space Captain?
“I’m Space Captain Monokuma, and I’m in charge of this place.”
“Oh…my God…” Her laughing was uncontrollable, as the dread she had experienced began to ebb away from her heart, flowing into her fingers and toes and dissipating like mist only she could see. This was some prank by the other students of the Academy, and it foretold good times. They were chill, and it was going to be a gooooood four years. Zelda barely even paid attention as the toy rattled on.
“…here for a game…”
“…want to go back home…”
“…murder someone…”
Murder someone? What?
“Now, you best get to it quick. I give you guys... Two Weeks before this place runs out of air and all suffocate. The moment someone is killed is when I'll turn on the Life Support System again.”
The misty dread resurfaced like the shark from Jaws. To murder was to kill which was to destroy which was to end which was…was…
No oxygen. No air, like that song. Life Support System? Why did they need to…do something so awful to support life? Fuck that God of War, Mars, Venus…Pluto…
The Medium felt a scream bubbling up red-hot in her throat, and all she could do to suppress it was clench her hands around her neck tightly and squeeze. She gagged quietly as she did so, but…this is what awaited them in two weeks. Her eyes watered, her vision blurred, the stars began to disappear from the sky in a clockwise spiral as her lungs began to fail. This is what would happen if no one killed. But for now, they were all alive. So Zelda let go.
And then, against her will, the bloodcurling scream frothed out in an expression of terror.
She would not let it happen. So many tragedies in the past seventeen years, all just felt and then expressed because she was helpless against things like terrorists and tectonic plates. But this was something she could change which is to fix which is to sustain life which…which is…
Her brain was like a rocket, bouncing around her skull as a migraine began to pound her senselessly. The video playing before her eyes of tragedy and loss was almost overwhelming. Inevitable…inevitable…but she had to be strong. She had to stop screaming and start fixing. Maybe she wasn’t as credible after that little outburst. But…
It was worth a shot. It was all she could do to try to help which is to…
“We…we need a leader, dudes. Someone who’s gonna keep us all on track and like…united, I guess. And for what it’s worth, I nominate me.”
They couldn’t fall into despair.
She especially couldn’t fall into despair.
That wouldn’t be very chill at all.

A bear dressed as some kind of captain entered the room, it was a pretty cute creature. It started talking about the situation we’d been put in. At first it all seemed to be some kind of prank but when it mentioned murder the doubts started, then it came with a threat. A bear, a teddy bear, talking about murder! Talking about us murdering each other for survival! This really was an unexpected turn of events. This was just unthinkable, how could this happen?
Kaoru continued listening to everything that was being said while observing the bear. To force us to kill each other, what kind of sick & twisted person took enjoyment in this? The threat, too. It really is a kill or be killed scenario we’re dealing with! 2 weeks left to live unless we get out of here or somebody decides to kill, this bear really is a monster to bring this upon us. But why would it do this to us? I suppose it must be one of us, unless there’s a 16th person hiding somewhere.
The bear then showed some videos. Videos of murder. All of these people, dying just because someone liked it? This couldn’t get much worse. The visions of people killing for survival, would this be us in less than 2 weeks?
He then heard Zelda’s remark, a very good one, at that. “Yes, a leader would surely be needed in a situation like this. If we work together we’ll surely be able to find a way out of here! If we’re together the chances of someone dying shouldn’t be as high either, unless someone is dumb enough to kill someone while everybody else is there, too.” He paused for a second. “I’ll do anything to get us out of here without a murder occuring, remember that!” He said with a firm & assertive voice.

[/i] This was unreal. While this was a sentiment probably shared by many. This couldn’t be right, there was no way any of them could eeeeeeeever agree to such stakes. For her part Hibiki kept her initial thoughts to herself as she kept her gaze on the hanger the bear had shown off. Kill or be killed huh. Law of the jungle and all of that This was her kind of party. Something like this made more sense than standing around trying to play buddy buddy all the time ““We…we need a leader, dudes. Someone who’s gonna keep us all on track and like…united, I guess. And for what it’s worth, I nominate me.”…What? The green haired girl blinked, shaken out of her own inner monologue as the medium spoke up, saying something about how they all needed a leader to keep them…alive or some bullshit like that, and while she chose to keep her comments to herself for the moment, no need to make wa- “Yes, a leader would surely be needed in a situation like this”…Really? "Are..." The green haired girl paused, pinching her wrist to make sure this wasn’t just all a dream one more time and grimaced at the small pain she felt from the pinch. Fuck she really was awake for all of this stupid noise. Well, we can’t win them all. "Are ya all fuckin stupid?" That seemed like such a polite way to ask that question, good job Hibiki. The eighteen-year-old girl rubbed her temple, a massive migraine just on the horizon she could feel it. Christ these people couldn’t be real, could they? This little bear motherfucker just said that it was kill or be killed and they wanted to group up because just made fuckin sense. Jabbing one finger at where the little bear had been moments before, Hibiki tried to keep a lid on her temper for the most part. The last thing she needed right now was to get into a fistfight with a room full of strangers who probably had a knife with her name on it. “That little motherfucker just said it’s kill or be killed, and ya wanna appoint a figurehead? Ya might as well stick a target on yer back with “insert knife here” in bright fuckin flashing letters.” Annoyed, Hibiki ran a hand through her long green hair and huffed. Man people were annoying to her and she had only been awake for a few minutes. This was a great start to the day for sure “I don’t know any of ya, an’ I don’t trust any of ya. I don’t expect any of ya to trust me neither to be fair, but there’s no way I’d blindly follow someone just because they said ta. I’m not some sheep.”Make more friends, Hibiki. [/ul]

A killing game? Well, by the look of that video I guess this isn't just a joke after all..
Kill someone or die.. and you have to do it in a way that doesn't make you look suspicious..
I think I should refrain from killing anyone for now. If we make it to the second week and nobody's made a move then I'll guess I'll have to step in to save us from suffocating at least. Up until that point, this is just *more* reason to keep my distance with these people.
I'm sure they'll start killing themselves off before I have to step in, but it's always interesting to consider.
I cannot die here.

"Wha-what?"
It was the only thing Iris could mutter out. The bear was cute at first glance, but whatever inside was revolting to the maximum. "A killing game? Now I wish I was still on drugs...", it was the only thing she could think of, hoping for some salvation to this god-forsaken situation. Iris was scared, more than scared, she was absolutely terrified but she couldn't let that get to herself. She needed to be strong. She needed to show to the others that she wasn't just some weak child.
A small smile showed on her face, she was going to make it known that she wasn't going to roll over and give in.
"Who cares about a leader right now! Like what that green haired chick said, a leader figure isn't needed if we're going to waste time", She was flustered but still tried to get her point across, "I'm going to call the Bear's bluff and investigate this weird place."
"... Okay, that was a bit harsh on the person, but I had to say what was on my mind. I'll seek them out later, but for now I have to figure out this place...", Iris was still a bit torn between what to do. She wanted to help, but before she could do anything she needed to find out what is it she can do here. As far as she knew, it didn't matter as long as the Bear can control their life support like it said.
"I can do this."
"... I hope."

The Ambassador simply stood there, listening to everything that had been said thus far from 'Space Captain Monokuma'. Emile's light brow furrowed, his thin lips turned into a frown. "This is unbelievable." He spoke aloud to no one in particular, just speaking his mind on the situation. "We should not act upon our fears nor give this strange black and white bear the satisfaction. There must be another way."
The young man's sky-blue eyes darted from one person to another, the look of certainty quite telling to his sorrowful expression, even from behind the lowly gleam of his round frames. Slowly, his hands began to tremble, but he kept his hands out of sight by keeping them behind him for the remainder of the time within the dome. Emile deeply exhaled, his visible shake somewhat relieved by the ability to breath, despite the unnerving distance between himself and space, held only by a single barrier. So, the young ambassador took the first step away from the group, his eyes set in search of some respite from the craziness that descended upon them. Alas, the direction he walked was upon the path to Zelda, the medium of the group. Emile blinked several times before he cleared his throat to speak.
"I must implore you not to make a hasty decision, milady. Leadership is a great responsibility that shouldn't be taken lightly. Allow us a moment to dwell on the thought after our host's departure and once we have thoroughly explored the facility. There must be alternatives."
With that being clear and concise, Emile bowed at the young woman and continued to get further away from the group in search of a way out, keeping an ear out in case Monokuma had more to say. Yet, he dared not meet its sinister red glare - it was bad enough being on Mars.
