Ever since the group had broken up after they all woke up, Kumori was trying to keep out of sight, at least until she got a better grasp on what was going on. It was only natural. In her field having knowledge before acting was important, and this whole situation had put her at a disadvantage. The others would be more defensive than normal against an assassin when they were told to kill each other. After all, out of everyone here she was most definitely skilled at ending someone's life.
But it was because of that, and a number of other reasons, that she couldn't kill someone else. That wasn't how it worked. Despite what others might think, she didn't just kill indiscriminately or for money.
And maybe this was why the Gardener had caught her eye. In this Town Life of Killing and Despair, he was someone whose job it was to bring in new life, and she found him in front of the dead girl's house looking like he was doing what he did: Gardening.
"Hey, whatcha doing?" Kumori asked, standing a couple of feet to the side of where he was working, not in his way or anything, and leaning over watching him work. No matter where she appeared from, until she brought attention to herself it would be to him as if she hadn't been there at all. After all, her proficiency at being unnoticed was what got her noticed to be trained as a ninja. "Oh, are you planting some flowers for her? That's really nice of you."

[/i] Shit. Why hadn't he been paying more attention? At the sound of the voice of the unfamiliar schoolmate, it took all the large male had to not visibly wince at the arrival of a new person having been caught in the act, so to speak. While it wasn't like the large teenager was doing anything wrong (or at least not in his own opinion) he still idn't like being seen by strangers as he worked in the gardens. Too many poor childhood memories of being a large boy who liked flowers, too many cruel children. Kids were cutthroat. Oh, are you planting some flowers for her? That's really nice of you.""Yeah, well..."He still had no idea what he was really supposed to say here. Never taking his eyes off of the few selected bulbs he was planting in front of him, Koji just ran his fingers through the upturned earth of the lawn he was kneeling on, struggling to come up with something he could say so someone who's name he didn't even know, before shrugging one broad shoulder and resumed digging calmly. "S'all I could figure to do, after what happened."A heavy sigh at the memory, the thudding of footsteps as the now deceased girl ran for the walls, the hammering metallic clacks of rapid machine gun fire, the sickening heavy thud when the girl's boy dropped and she breathed her last. It was enough to give even the strongest man nightmares. "Everyone should be remembered by somebody."[/ul]

Kumori sat down on the ground off to the side. It wasn't like she couldn't get moving if she really needed to. "Yeah, I get what you mean. A life shouldn't be taken so haphazardly." She said, still looking at what he was working on. "Most people would probably be trying to forget her to forget what happened to her, but here you are working on a little memorial. I know how hard it is to death with the memory of someone's death, but I guess it's a bit different for me than it is for others." Kumori shook her head a bit to snap herself out of that thought process. "Still, I'm glad your doing it. Do you need any help?"

[/i] This chick was weird. For a moment, Koji doesn't really say anything, focusing all of his attention on the task in front of his massive frame. Dirt really was a soothing influence on the large boy, as strange as it may sound as long as he was able to run his fingers through the cool earth, the only thing he knew for certain that he could trust as real, than everything would be okay. People were fake, untrustworthy. They'd stab you in the back at the first opportunity. Plants were eternal. They needed you, depended on you to keep them alive. You were important. After a brief moment, the silent teenager finally shrugged a massive shoulder, still never having turned to look at the girl who he was conversing with "D'what you like. I won't stop you."For Koji, this was massive progress you know. [/ul]
