It was relatively early in the morning when Haruka arose from a terrible night. She could see dawn breaking outside her window, and the grass was covered in a thin layer of fog. What was she to do?
She remembered that she liked to take walks whenever she was restless, during a period of her life that, in reality, was possibly less than 48 hours ago, but felt like several months. She mulled over this decision for a while. It would help her become more familiar with her surroundings, which she would probably have to live in for at least a week or more until they got rescued.
Did anyone know they were missing? Was rescue even on its way? She tried not to think about these possibilities too much. Down that path lied anxiety and depression. She could tell already that those particular feelings weren’t a good thing to be now.
Haruka got from her bed, taking off her black nightgown and putting on a black blouse and long skirt, along with her wig, as even she would confess that her old school’s uniform got a bit too uncomfortable after a long period, even moreso when it’s stained with the scent of fear that was only distinguishable to the person wearing it. She did slip on her Seitokaicho armband over her left arm, however. It was the only thing she could do to still feel in control, a sensation that she desired right now.
She exited her house, (Was it actually hers? It was too soon to tell. All that made it hers was the name printed above the doorframe.) and walked through the mist-lined paths, following the lights lining the path, and eventually finding the building-lined streets that she awoke in yesterday, the lights coming from the streetlamps making small circles that created walls out of the fog.
And that’s when Haruka saw her.
She was standing under a street lamp, her form visible through the fog. Her being out this early…it meant they were likely of similar thinking. Haruka studied more closely. She had platinum hair, tied behind her head in a long ponytail, and she was still wearing something not unlike a school uniform, a sort of modest affair, something that Haruka respected. The girl’s form was…it wasn’t completely sexually charged and explicit, like most of the other girls here, but it wasn’t completely underdeveloped, either…it was almo-
Oh…oh God…she was having those thoughts again. She wasn’t supposed to be thinking that way. It wasn’t normal, and it was absolutely disgusting to view someone like that, nonetheless someone of the same sex! She…she needed to talk to someone. She needed to talk to her therapist, someone who could help her think right again. But now? She was alone. Alone with her sickening lust.
By the time Haruka had realized her terrifying lapse of sanity, the girl was gone. Who was she? Was she at the town square yesterday?
Haruka wanted answers. And, thanks to the mist, she couldn’t even discern where they came from or where they went.
She spent the next several hours trying to occupy herself from her thoughts. She talked to someone she admired. She investigated her living quarters. She had a light snack of vegetable juice, acquired from the general store.
And then she saw her again, sitting on a bench on a path in the town square. Haruka froze.
Ignore her. It’s the easiest way.
But the girl was right there. Should she…
No. The chances that this girl would share the same abhorrent mindset as her were astronomical. She would likely refuse, and Haruka would be put back in her place, learning a valuable lesson about not sharing your feelings of lust with another person.
Haruka approached the girl. Don’t go all at once. Ease into it. But make it overt enough that she’ll pick it up and be disgusted with you, as they should be.
“He-hello,” Haruka silently swallowed. “My name is Haruka Kobayashi, Super High School Level Student Council President. I don’t think we have met yet.”
